The NanoLund Distinction will be awarded to PhD students within the NanoLund environment who have shown particular dedication to research, education and outreach activities, have acquired broad knowledge within nanoscience research and it's societal relevance and impact, and have demonstrated research independence and leadership. The doctoral positions will be hosted by one of the research groups in NanoLund, the Center for Nanoscience at Lund University. Engaging more than 50 research groups in the faculties of engineering, sciences and medicine at Lund University, and with more than 130 PhD students, we are Sweden largest environment in nanoscience. Lund Nano Lab is a central key facility for fabrication of material and devices on the nanoscale. The division is also heavily involved in the undergraduate education, especially within the “Engineering Nanoscience” program. NanoLund has long traditions in developing nanowire based single-electron devices.
